Adani Gate – US should probe Adani to re-establish democracy in Indian subcontinent

The violations by Adani Group and its promoters under Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a US anti-bribery law – that safeguards the interests of citizens and investors, is a very serious threat not only to the US citizens but also to the global investors and hence we call it, Adani Gate.

We believe United States has a crucial responsibility in promoting democracy and human rights across the globe. As a world superpower, it is imperative for the US to use its influence and resources to ensure that democratic values are upheld in every corner of the world. With this in mind, it is time for the US to take action and thoroughly investigate the Adani Group in order to establish a more democratic system in the Indian subcontinent.

As US Think-Tanks must be knowing that Adani Group and Modi government is aiding each other, where Adani Group is seen not only dismantling the economy and financial institutions of India with undue favors from Modi government but its also proving threat to the US Laws. On the other hand Modi government is well known for following the path of anarchy, moving to establish model of Russia, China, North Korea in India. Various undemocratic acts of Modi government to de-estabilize publicly elected provincial and state governments by purchasing and bribing elected candidates, creating undue influence on government agencies, courts, judicial systems and institutions to run government by its autocracy are all red flags of destruction of democracy in and around entire Indian Subcontinent.

As all know, Adani Group, has become largest conglomerates in India, in such a small time with undue favors from Modi government has been under scrutiny for its alleged involvement not only in corrupt practices but Adani Group has its red hands in environmental violations too. The company, which has interests in various sectors such as energy, logistics, and agriculture, has also been been accused of using its political connections to gain unfair advantages and evade paying debts. In addition, the Adani Group has been accused of flouting environmental regulations and destroying the fragile ecosystem in the Indian subcontinent and around the world.

The consequences of the Adani Group’s actions are not limited to India alone. It’s well known fact that Modi government has used its political relations to provide illicit benefits to Adani Group not only in the neighboring countries in the Indian subcontinent, such as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. But to Africa, Australia, Israel, Iran, Russia, China. This has raised concerns among human rights activists, who fear that the Adani Group’s unethical policy and Modi government’s unchecked power could potentially destabilize the entire region.

In light of these serious allegations, when it’s established that Modi government is aiding Adani Group and in return Adani Group is providing unknown findings and finances to ruling BJP government to de-establize democracy in and around Indian subcontinent to establish anarchy, it is imperative for the US especially for both Biden and Trump to step in and conduct a thorough investigation into the Adani Group’s operations and it’s subsidiaries- selling bonds in the US and European markets . By doing so, the US authorities will not only will be able to penetrate deep rooted unethical activities jointly done by Adani Group promoters with Modi government but will also send a strong message that it will not tolerate corruption and environmental violations in countries that it has close ties with such as India. Furthermore, this thorough probe will uncover the true face of Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani’s political connections and hence prevent it from wielding undue influence in the region. This probe will bring end to both Modi and Adani ties which is continuously moving towards in line to establish Russian Chinese style autocracy in and around entire Indian subcontinent.

Some may argue that this is an interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation. However, it is important to remember that democracy and human rights are universal values that should be upheld by all countries. The US, as a champion of democracy, cannot turn a blind eye to the potential threats posed by the Adani Group’s actions.

In conclusion, the US has a crucial role to play in promoting democracy and human rights in the Indian subcontinent. A thorough investigation into the Adani Group will uncover and prevent corrupt practices, thereby establishing a more democratic system in the region. As a global superpower, it is time for the US to assertively take action and fulfill its responsibility in promoting democracy and human rights worldwide and especially in the Indian subcontinent which is in the verge of collapse.
